Selios ("Selios," "we," "us") is a daily divination and self-reflection companion. Privacy is our
core promise, not an afterthought. This policy explains what we do — and mostly don't — do
with your information.
The short version: your readings, questions, and journal are stored
on your device. We don't sell your data, we don't use it to train AI models, and we run no
advertising. The only information our servers hold is what's needed to run your account and your
subscription.
1. Information stored on your device (not on our servers)
By design, the content of your experience stays local to your phone or browser:
Your journal entries, saved readings, and the questions you ask
Your profile details used for readings (name, birth date, birth time/place, partner details for compatibility)
Your streaks, preferences, and app settings
This information is kept in your device's local storage. It is not transmitted to us, and we cannot read
it. You can export or erase it at any time from Settings.
2. Information we do process
Account: your email address, used to sign you in and secure your account.
Subscription status: whether you're on Free, Plus, or Premium. Payments are handled
by the app stores (Apple/Google) or by Stripe on the web — we receive only your entitlement status and a
billing reference, never your full card number.
AI companion messages (Plus): when you chat with the Selios guide, your message is
sent to our AI provider to generate a response. It is processed to answer you and is not used to train
models. Free-tier guidance may run on a self-hosted or on-device model.
Diagnostics: minimal, aggregate, non-identifying operational logs (e.g. error counts)
to keep the service running. No advertising or cross-site tracking.
3. What we never do
We never sell or rent your personal information.
We never use your journal or questions to train AI models.
We show no ads and use no third-party ad or tracking networks.
4. Service providers
We rely on a small set of providers strictly to operate Selios: hosting and email delivery, payment
processing (Apple, Google, Stripe), and an AI model provider for the companion. Each receives only the
minimum needed for its function and is bound to protect it.
5. Cookies & similar technologies
We keep cookies to the bare minimum and use no third-party or advertising cookies. Most of
your app content lives in your browser's local storage (functional, on your device). The cookies we use are:

The optional analytics cookie is set only after you accept. Decline (or send a Global Privacy
Control signal) and it is never set. You can change your choice anytime in Your Privacy Choices.
6. Your rights (including EEA/UK — GDPR)
Access & export: export a full copy of your on-device data from Settings at any time.
Deletion: erase your on-device data from Settings; email us to close your account and
delete server-side account records.
Correction, restriction, objection, and portability of the limited data we process.
Withdraw consent (e.g. analytics) at any time — as easily as it was given — via
Your Privacy Choices.
Our legal bases (GDPR Art. 6) are: contract (running your account and subscription), consent
(optional analytics), and legitimate interests (security and keeping the service running). If you are in
the EEA/UK you may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
7. California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the rights below. In the past 12 months we collected these
categories of personal information: identifiers (your email); commercial information
(your subscription status); and, only with your consent, internet/network activity (an anonymous visit
count). We collect these directly from you and your device, to provide and secure the service, process your
subscription, and — with consent — measure basic traffic.
We do not "sell" or "share" your personal information (including for cross-context behavioral
advertising), and have not in the preceding 12 months. We do not sell the data of anyone, including minors.
We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics; your birth details stay on your device.
You have the right to know/access, delete, and correct your personal information, to
opt out of sale/sharing (not applicable, as we do none), and to not be discriminated
against for exercising these rights.
We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as a valid opt-out.
You may use an authorized agent to submit a request. To exercise any right, email us (below) or use
Your Privacy Choices; we will verify and respond within the time the law requires.
8. Your Privacy Choices
Manage the optional analytics cookie here. We use no advertising cookies and do not sell or share your data,
so there is nothing to "opt out of selling" — but you can decline analytics entirely, and we honor Global
Privacy Control automatically.
9. Data retention
On-device data persists until you delete it or remove the app. Account and subscription records are kept
while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward as required for legal, tax, and
fraud-prevention purposes.
10. Children
Selios is intended for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect information from children.
11. Security
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS) and reasonable safeguards. No method of storage or transmission is
perfectly secure, but keeping your most sensitive content on your device — rather than on our servers — is
itself the strongest protection.
12. Changes
We may update this policy; we'll revise the date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app.
